Since resistivity ( rho ) is directly proportional to area of cross section of a wire, the resistivity will increase if the area of the cross section increases.
Here, resistivity of nichrome is greater than copper. So, nichrome will be more thicker than copper.

Nichrome has more resistivity than copper. Hence for equal length and resistance it has to to be thicker since resistance is inversely proportional to the diameter of the wire.
