Answer:

Nope, performance is key.

But personal beliefs is another.

Explanation:

75% of the world is private businesses that actively compete with each other. You want the best and brightest. If you hired a good looking person who was not as good as the smartest you lose money, and over time your company.

Many businesses fail for a variety of reasons and hiring good looking people over skills and behavior is one of them.

Can you imagine hiring a good looking sports player who sucked? I do not believe so.

The same can be said for partnerships and relationships. Picking a trophy wife is not a smart choice for the vast majority of men, but men fall into this trap and end up in poverty because their useless wife cannot do anything but spend money.

If they chose a smart wife that knew how to do stuff, they would not need to work so much and both can actively get richer, but most men hunt for looks and that is another failing and their offspring.

If you look at movie stars, or models. Most are ugly without makeup, or some type of surgery. But men are made to believe a lot of women look like that. In addition, many men who look muscular are just skinny men with muscles in photos and photoshopped. Real strong men work in the army, or very physically demanding jobs and they do not look like bodybuilders because performance is more important than looking strong.

The illusion that looks matter is because of society, most of the claimed “good looking” women or men in the world without some illusions like cameras, lighting, photoshop, drugs, surgeries, or makeup are honestly ugly or average at best.

Focus on performance, you can buy looks after.
