It happened when I was studying 6th standard.

My father is running a stationary shop. Every year at the time of Diwali, we used to sell crackers. We have license and we are doing both whole sale and retail.

We used to open our shop on the day of Diwali also since many people used to come to purchase on that day too..

Our shop is in main bazaar. Near to that some small streets are there where some people are living. Most of the males were drunken most of the time. But they don't disturb others.

Every year Diwali morning, me and my sister went to our shop and take all the crackers whatever we want.

That year also after wearing new dresses, we went to our shop happily. But to our shock, some of that Street persons who were all drunk fight with my father and asking for costly crackers for very low costs.

My father denied and they started shouting. My uncles came (my dad called them) and tried to sooth those persons but failed. No police men turned up.

So having no other go, we had to give what they asked.

The worst part is those persons started firing crackers nearby my shop itself which is actually prohibited in that area(because if our shop got fired which is full of crackers, think what would happen). They fired 5000 wala and lot more.

We had to close our shop and I could see the tears in my parents eyes. I felt really bad.

But God had punished those people with what they worth for. Those people came to us and asked for forgiveness. I had seen that person crying to my father.

Whenever Diwali is nearing, I have this chill feeling in my heart.

Hope it will help you
