First, we will find the area of the whole ground. As the length of the ground is 45 m and breadth of the ground is 28 m.

Area of Ground (rectangle) - l * b

= 45 * 28

= 1260 m²

Given :

A 5m wide gallery for spectators has to be built on all its sides.

So, the length and breadth of the inner rectangle excluding the gallary :

L = 28 - 5 - 5 = 18 m ;

B = 45 - 5 - 5 = 35 m

Now, if we will minus the Area of the inner rectangle by the whole rectangle we will get the area of the gallery only.

So,

Area of Inner rectangle = l * b

= 18 * 35

= 630 m²

Area of inner rectangle - Area of outer rectangle = Area of gallery

1260 - 630

= 630 m²

Cost of making the gallery at 5.25 per m² :

= 5.25 * 630

= 3307.5
