HEY MATE!!!

WEST BENGAL IS CALLED WEST BENGAL BECOZ BEFORE INDEPENDENCE , BANGLADESH WERE NAMED AS EAST BENGAL...

because the western part of bengal was with india after independence and eastern part of bengal went with pakistan named eastern bengal or bangladesh
