UNDEREMPLOYMENT
The condition in which people in labor force are employed at less than full time or require regular job or at jobs inadequate with respect to training or economic need.
Part -time engineer is underemployed
An MBA working as clerk is under employed.
DISGUISED UNEMPLOYED
Disguised unemployment exists when part of the labor force is either left without work or working in a redundant manner ,where worker productivity is zero and does not contribute to output.
If a job requiring 5 people is done by 9 people 4 is disguised unemployment.This is so in many govt departments
A farmer having 5 cents of land is cultivated all his 5 family members as employed in farming.Now his son marries and total members becomes 6 but she also will be working in same farm.The production is not increasing.If one son is born he will also be working in same 5 cent farm.This is disguised unemployment.
According to Economists 30 % in farm sector is in disguised unemployment
