Answer

Disinfectants and antiseptics are both used for killing the microbes but still, there is a difference between them.

We can use the same chemical as a disinfectant and an antiseptic by varying its concentration.

Lysol is a disinfectant whereas Dettol is an antiseptic.

Answer:

Antiseptics are applied to the living tissues such as wounds, cuts, ulcers etc.

eg: furacine, soframicine etc.

Meanwhile, Disinfectants are applied to inanimate objects like floors, drainage system etc.

P.S.:

Same substances can act as antiseptics and disinfectants by varying the concentration.
