I think it is lens, which is also transparent and also not understand by everyone. Lens is a material which is made up of spherical mirror both side. They are of three types - "Convex lens" , "Concave lens" and "Bifocal lens". It is a material in which speed of light inside compare to outside is less. It converge or diverge rays of light coming from object made make image image according to bending of light or optical density. It is used in making power glasses and also uses in other things like - rare view in vehicle, head light, torches etc.
