Being too lucky is a very nice experience. It makes you feel special and advantaged. Sometimes it fuels your ego unnecessarily in which case you might feel yourself to be a superior person. One even starts questioning the existence of God, because for him/her everything is going on perfectly (but not for long).
Once you overcome this feeling of superiority you actually start feeling guilty about having a very lucky life. Sometimes it feels that others are unfortunate. You start questioning as to why you are the lucky one and not others. What can be done to make others lucky? This sometimes also leads to many philosophical questions like is life unfair? If, so why? What exactly determines how fair life would be with you? and so on....
If you believe in law of Karma, then luck is similar to it. Suppose there are two students studying the same course, working equally hard and doing everything that is required for good grades. On the day of exam one student answers all the questions perfectly and he/she is assured of his/her good grades. However something bad happens with other student, may be he/she is ill on that day, and he/she cannot give his/her 100%. This is luck. It is closely related to law of karma. What goes eventually comes back to you. It may be a reaction of something done some 10-15 years ago and now we might not even remember that action as we have changed a lot, but the laws of nature do not neglect our deeds, good or bad.
It is very difficult to save ourselves from the karmic chain reaction. One action leads to some reaction, which in turn leads to another action. This is referred to as a bondage in vedic scriptures. It is said that a living entity burns within himself/herself due to the karmic reaction that he/she gets because to him, it seems like a random event. A sober person however is not bewildered by such changes as he/she is perfectly situated in knowledge. In this age of kaliyuga, when people are very busy and do not have lot of time to introspect and understand life, it is recommended that one should engage in understanding God, as this way one can get a better and clearer view of the working of world and one can remain calm and peaceful even among greatest storms.
