rule of law is the cornerstone of all democratic societies. it states that all laws apply equally to all citizens of the country and no one can be above the law.

A democratic government cannot do whatever it likes simply because it has won election.it has to respect some basic rule.in particular it has to respect some guarantees to the minorities.every major decision has gone through a series of consolation..every office bearer has certain rights and responsibilities assigned by the Constitution of the law.each is accountable not but only to law to other independent officials.
