Scanner is a hardware device that is connected externally to the computer or Laptop.

It is used for uploading any hard copy and storing them in computer as soft copy.

For example : Your Aadhar card can be scanned by scanner and can be saved in computer as a image file. Also whenever we need it we can take a printout and convert the soft copy as a hard copy.
