Here is ur answer...
The metals like Magnesium and Calcium reacts with dil.HNO₃ producing H₂ gas.
Mg + 2HNO₃ → Mg(NO₃)₂ + H₂
Ca + 2HNO₃ → Ca(NO₃)₂ + H₂
