if you see the structure of HNO3 then you will see that

it is made of 1 nitrogen and 3 oxygen ( in which 2 of the are connected with double bond and 1 with a single bond with Nitrogen) and 1 hydrogen(which is connected with the Oxygen)

so we can say that HNO3 is a Trivalent acid radical.
