1. Position of isotopes:- Modern peroidic table is based on increasing order of atomic number.All the isotopes have same atomic number. So, they can be placed in same group.
2. Anomalous position of some pairs of elements:- In Mendeleev's periodic table, cobalt with higher atomic mass was placed before nickel but according to modern periodic table, it was correct because cobalt has lower atomic number than nickel.
3. Uncertainity in prediction of new elements:- Atomic masses do not increase in a regular manner in going from one element to another, in mendeleev periodic table but this limitation has been removed in Modern periodic table because atomic numbers increase by one in going from one element to another.
