when you complete the circuit......... the potential difference is created by a cell or battery....by giving extra electrons......due to which the electrons in that metallic conductor trigger to move forward.......and
this is what we call current... flow of electrons......
by convention.... the current flows in opposite direction to the flow of electrons..... from the positive to the negative...
