Hey dear,

● Heavy water -
- Deuterium oxide (D2O) is called heavy water.
- It is called so because it is oxide of deuterium which is heavier than hydrogen.
- Molar mass of normal water is 18 g/mol while that of heavy water is 20 g/mol.


● Reaction -
- Heavy water (D2O) reacts with sulphur trioxide to form deuterosulphuric acid.
D2O + SO3 --> D2SO4
