In first case :

》 x people does the work in 5 days

So total work = 5x

In second case :

》10 people kept dropping everyday from the initial x people.

So

work done on first day = x

work done on second day = x-10

work done on third day = x-20

work done on fourth day = x-30

work done on fifth day = x-40

work done on sixth day = x-50

Now total work = x+x-10+x-20+x-30+x-40+x-50 = 6x-150.

Though the number of people who finished the work and the number of days they took changed but the work done is same..

So

5x = 6x - 150

6x - 5x = 150

x = 150
