A Letter to God
The lesson 'A Letter to God' written by G. L. Fuentes is chapter which depicts an unbelievable and strong faith on god. This story revolves around a poor farmer named Lencho. As stated Lencho is a poor farmer whose livings come from farming. He sells the farm products and get money with which he fulfills the need of his family. The day was pleasant like other days and Lencho was seeing his farms and thought that they require water for proper growth. Suddenly it started raining slowly. After sometimes, the rain became heavy and hailstorm started. All the crops were destroyed due to it. There was no grain left. All the family members were sad due to it. They worried for there survival till next year. Lencho had no money to sow crops once again. He had strong faith in God. He believed that God helps everyone. He decided to ask help from god. He wrote a letter to god asking for help of 100 pesos. When the post office employees saw this, they thought to help Lencho. They collectively gathered money but it was 20 pesos less than what Lencho asked. Sfill they helped him. When Lencho saw the letter with money, he decided to write one more letter to god. In his next letter he asked god for another 20 pesos which were less from what he asked but not by post because he thought that post office employees took his rest of the money.

This lesson depicts an unending faith of a person on God. Lencho thinks that God can never make a mistake and helps everyone. But he doesn't know that the people whom he is cursing only helped him. Lencho is quite naive, innocent and simple in his nature. Whereas the post office employees especially the post master is sympathetic and helpful in nature.
