Answer:
The circuit diagram is not correct because of the following reasons:
(i) Ammeter is connected in parallel with R and voltmeter connected in series with it in contrary of the fact that ammeter should be connected in series and voltmeter in parallel. This is so because same current flows in series and same voltage exist in parallel combination.
(ii) The current is drawn from negative terminal and enter into the battery at possible terminal which is not possible in one battery circuit.
(iii) Cells are not connected in series combination in the battery of the circuit.
Here the Concept of Circuit Diagrams of Electrical Circuits have been used . We see that we are given a circuit to check that it needs a correction . We can check this by checking out each and every component of the Circuit and their way of connection .
Let's do it !!

★ Solution :-
• The corrections in the Circuit are as follows ::
- Here its shown that Ammeter is connected in Parallel with Resistance and Voltmeter is connected in Series with Resistance . But by Ohm's Law, we know that in parallel connection current gets divided and potential difference remains same whereas in series connection current remains same and potential difference gets divided . So, combining this, we get that for correct order in the circuit, Ammeter should be in series with resistance and Voltmeter should be in parallel with resistance which is shown in the corrected figure .
- We know that, according to the Law of Flow of Current , current flows from Higher Potential to Lower Potential . And in a circuit Lower Potential is Negative Terminal (-) and Higher Potential is Positive Terminal (+) . So the correct order of flow of current is from Positive Terminal to Negative Terminal which is shown in the corrected diagram by arrows (→) .
- We know that a Battery is group of cells connected in series . So we know that current remains same in series combination and we are given with 4 terminals each of positive and negative charge . So, if we take first Terminal (marked by line ___) as positive then we can take any negative terminal (marked by dotted line ---) . Even we can shift this positive terminal to other . But in the given figure, we see that both the terminals to the circuit are connected from negative terminal which is wrong since, we need a positive terminal also to make flow of current happen .

★ More to know :-
• Different components of Electrical Circuit ::
- Battery :: Maintains the flow of current in the circuit .
- Resistance :: Provides an opposition in the proper flow of current in the circuit .
- Ammeter :: Checks the rate of flow of charge that is current and gives value in Ampere .
- Voltmeter :: Checks the Potential Difference in Volts across the points in the circuit.
- Switch :: Helps to join or break that is turn on or turn off the circuit.
