area of 1piece

s =  \frac{a + b + c}{2}  \\ s =  \frac{20 + 50 +  50 }{2}  \\ s = 60 \: cm \\ area =  \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)}  \\  =  \sqrt{60 \times 40 \times 10 \times 10}  \\  = 10 \times 10 \sqrt{24}  \\  = 200 \sqrt{6} \:  {cm}^{2}   \\

there are 12 strips so

total \: area = 12 \times (200  \sqrt{6)} \\  = 2400 \sqrt{6}cm {}^{2}
