welcome to the concept of capacitors.

capacitor :

capacitor is a device that stores electrical energy.it consists of conductors of any shape and size carrying charges of equal magnitude and opposite signs and separated by an inslulating medium.

the net charge on a capacitor is zero.

Uses of capacitors:

  • timming;: capacitor can be used in a time dependent circuit because there charging and discharging takes place at regular intervals .this could be come to any light emitting diode or loudspeaker system and it is likely that any flash light, you see or regular beeping uses a timming capacitor.
  • smoothing: a capacitor convert AC to DC by "smoothing" the current.
  • coupling: speakers work by converting AC into sound . but they are could damaged by an DC that reach them . a capacitor prevent this from happening.

- storing charge:

in some cases ,like the flash circuit of a camera ,you need a building of energy and a sudden release. this is exactly what a capacitor does.

I hope my answer help you ✌️✌️
