Discount 5% of Rs 1000 =

5/100×100

= Rs. 50

Taxable value = Rs. (1000-50) =Rs.950

Rate of GST is 5 %

That's why.

GST=5/100×950

=Rs.47.50

Purchase price for the customer= TAXABLE VALUE+GST

= RS. (950+47.50)

=Rs.997.50

Answer: The purchase price of the dress for the customer is Rs. 997.50
