Answer:

a) due to decrease in humidity of mansoon winds.. it decreases humidity from east to West..

b) it has many water resources so those water can evoprate and become as more rain...

Hey There !!

(Do you also have test Of Geography on Monday XD) Well..The question you have asked says so :D   (But sadly i dunno any dristi XD)

(a) Patna gets heavier rainfall than Agra........Because Patna is nearer to the sea than Agra .Patna hence is mere influenced by Bay Of Bengal branch of southwest Monsoon than Agra which is the interior and far away from the sea.

(b)Goa gets heavier rainfall than Puducherry....Because Monsoon starts from west side and Goa being on the windward side of western ghats receives heavier rainfall than Punducherry  which is on leeward side .
