❣Hola guys!

Alice and Emy are two students are of class 9. They together contributed Rs.100 towards the Prime Minister's Relief Fund to help the earthquake victims. Write a linear equation which satisfies this data. (You may take their contributions as Rs. x and Rs. y..
Draw the graph of the same.

Method to draw the graph of linear equation in

two variables:

1.Let the linear equation in two variables be ax+by+c=0

Write the linear equation and Express Y in terms

of x.

Y=(-ax+c)/b......(1)

 2.Put put arbitrary value of x in equation 1 and

find the corresponding values of y.

3.Form a table by writing the value’s of y to the

corresponding values of x.

4.Draw the coordinates axes on graph paper and take

a suitable scale to plot points from the table on graph paper.

5.Join the points and we get a straight line and

produced it on both sides.

Hence, the straight line so obtained is the

required graph of given linear equation.

It is enough to plot two points Corresponding to

two solutions and join them by a line.

Solution:

[Table and graph are on the attachment]

Let the contributions of Yamini and Fatima

together towards the Prime Minister relief fund to help the earthquake victims

are ₹X and ₹Y.

A.T.Q

X+y=100......(1)

Here,We plot the points B(0,100) & A(100,0)

on  graph paper and join all these points

to form a line AB.

Hope this will help you......

Hi Alexa, Below answer is according to class 10th..... This is correct.....

Let contribution of Alice be x

Let contribution of Emy be y

So, x+y=100

To draw graph, we need two solutions.

If x=0

0+y=100

y=100

If y=0

x+0=100

x=100

So two solutions are (0,100) and (100,0)
