1.
i) it is a combination reaction
Fe^0+S^0 = Fe^2S^-2
S^0 + 2e- = S^-2
there it is reduced...(Reduction is gain of electrons)

Fe^0 - 2e- = Fe^2
there it is oxidised..(Oxidation is loss of
electrons)

Remember : OIL - oxidation is loss of e-
RIG - reduction is gain of e-

Ni^2O + H2^0 = Ni^0+ H2^1O

here
2 H0 - 2 e- → 2 HI(oxidation)

NiII + 2 e- → Ni0(reduction)

ii)
When a cold soft drink bottle is kept in open air, thewater vapour present in the surrounding air condenses on thebottle. The water molecules are slowed down and stick to the surfaceis cold. These water droplets are seen as dew on the surface of the bottle.

3. Absolute Refractive index is = speed of light in vaccum / speed of light in given medium

absolute Refractive index = 3× 10 ^8 m/s^2 ÷ 2.4×10^8m/s^2
= 3/2.4 = 30/24 = 5/4 or 1.25 (ans)

HEY MATE HERE IS YOUR ANSWER

1) (ii) IT'S SECOND REACTION becoz H2 IS OXIDISING AND NiO IS REDUCING ........

2 ) Those water droplets are formed due to the process of precipitation.

If water is in the solid phase as ice and you give it heat/energy it will become liquid. If even more heat/energy is given it becomes gas know as water vapour.

Similarly when water vapour loses energy/heat it becomes liquid water and then in-turn ice.

The ice or cold water in the container absorbs heat/energy from water vapour in the air as air is at a higher temperature. Thus the water vapour becomes liquid water.

You might ask why it doesn't just fall off the air like rain. It's because the heat exchange takes place at the surface area of the container so the water vapour closest to container become liquid water and deposits on the container.

Hope this helped.

3) Refractive index of a medium = Speed of light in vacuum/Speed of light in a medium 1.5 = 3 x 108 / Speed of light in medium Speed of light in the medium = 3 x 108 /1.5                                                   = 2 x 108 m/s.

4 ) Mass of any object is the property of that object that describes about its heaviness with respect to other objects.

It's SI unit is Kg i.e 1000gram and cgs is grams

5) Methane : and Ethane structure .....

6) Distance and Displacement :

Distance and displacement are two quantities that may seem to mean the same thing yet have distinctly different definitions and meanings.

Distance is a scalar quantity that refers to "how much ground an object has covered" during its motion.Displacement is a vector quantity that refers to "how far out of place an object is"; it is the object's overall change in position.

To test your understanding of this distinction, consider the motion depicted in the diagram below. A physics teacher walks 4 meters East, 2 meters South, 4 meters West, and finally 2 meters North.
