Given that total number of students in a line n(S) = 13 + 15 = 28.

Let A be the event of choosing student at random and he is a boy.

= > n(A) = C(15,1).

            = 15.

Required probability p(A) = n(A)/n(S) = 15/28.

Hope this helps!
