Hii !

Solution :-

Given :- gun mass =M1= 10Kg = 10*1000 = 10000gram

bullets mass = M2= 20Gram

velocity of bullets =v1 = 300m/s

Time = 1sec

velocity of gun = V2 = ?

*using law of conservation of momentum*

m1v1 = m2v2

10*1000 × V1 = 20 ×4× 300

V1 = 24000/10000

V1 = 24/10

v1 = 2.4hence, velocity of gun is 2.4 m/s

•°•force = m×a = 10 ×(vf-vi)/t

= 10 × (2.4-0)/1 = 10×2.4 =24N answer

Force required to hold the gun while firing is 24N . ✔

Hope it helps you !!
