Here..

• First term (a) = 12

• Common difference (d) = 16 - 12 = 4

$a_{2}$ - $a_{1}$

• Last term $(a_{n})$ = 248

We have to find the number of terms (n).

$a_{n}$ = a + (n - 1)d

=> 248 = 12 + (n - 1)4

=> 248 - 12 = (n - 1)4

=> 236 = (n - 1)4

=> $\dfrac{236}{4}$ = n - 1

=> 59 = n - 1

=> n = 60
