Resistance can be joined to each other in two ways :-

  • Series combination
  • Parallel combination

Series combination :-

  1. If different resistances are joined with each other such that there is only one path for the flow of electric current then the combination of such resistance is called series combination.
  2. In series combination current through each resistor is constant.
  3. In series combination Potential difference across each resistor is different depending value upon the resistance.
  4. Equivalent resistance of circuit is equal to the sum of individual resistance.

Answer:

In classical physics, real forces are defined by a set of axioms, Newton’s laws of motion, with reference to an inertial reference frame. By Newton’s second law the resultant force F acting on a body of constant mass m is equal to ma, where a is the acceleration of a. Force is a vector quantity.
