Diwali : The Festival of Lights

Diwali is a festival of Hindus. Not only Hindus but people of other religions and countries also celebrate Diwali. It is commonly known as "Deepawli" because "Deep" means lamp and "Awli" means line .

Hence it is known as festival of lights. Diwali is being celebrated from a very long time. Well I am not sure but according to Hindu Puranas it is celebrated Because on this day Shri Ramchabdra Ji returned Ayodhya from his exile of 14 years. So for welcoming him the people of his kingdom enlighten the lamps.

From that time it is being celebrated every year. Well Diwali is a peaceful festival. It is very amazing festival. But nowadays people changed this holy festival into a gambling festival. People do gambling on this day . This is wrong we must stop it .

And as we know on this day we all do prayer to the goddess of wealth Laxmi. Children wear New clothes.They celebrate it with great pomp and show. And people celebrate it with crackers. It is harmful for our environment. That is why government banned crackers but again people put a petition and the timing is given 8-10 pm. In my point of view it is wrong the crackers must be banned.

Well this is to say that it is a holy festival we must celebrate it with pure heart. We should not do anything which affects the environment.

Diwali is the festival of hindu and this festival is celebrated as a festival of lights by lighting lamps everywhere at homes, streets, shops, temples, markets etc.

This festival first celebrate by the people of religion of lord Ram when ram came from vanvas after 14 years after killing the Ravana and they celebrate the Victory of Rama by using crackers. But after long time crackers are used by all people and affecting the environment so the government decided to ban it but people sell crackers by using tricks.

This festival is not celebrate only in india as well it is also celebrate in the countries of Europe, Asia etc.

In this festival people says that at night Lakshmi came so please start clean there houses, shops etc. So that Lord Lakshmi will happy from them.

people of Hindu religion but very easily for the special festival it is the most important and favourite festivals of everyone especially for kids and children at the home.

To make this more special there is also a diwali break in which all tue relatives join together to celebrate it and make it more special.
