Heya @User
Milk used to be considered vegetarian because it wasn’t the outcome of an animal killing or a potential animal killing. Eggs are potential wombs of future chicken and hence are considered non-veg.
but in market,
there is Veg-egg and Non-veg egg
Veg-egg is produced by hens without fertilization ( without mating )
Non-veg egg produced by hens by mating ie, it is actually a product of fertilization
you can easily identify the two
put some eggs into a bowl full of water
The one which settle down fast is Non-veg egg ( its density is comparatively higher than veg-egg ) where as veg-egg is less denser and take time to settle down
it is Only Non-veg egg that hatch out by incubation, Veg egg will never hatch .
talking about milk,
in today’s standards of evolving concepts of vegetarianism and veganism, milk and dairy products are also considered non-vegan.
The changing practices of livestock rearing has gotten more commercialized and also more cruel, causing the animals to live in pretty bad conditions and live a life worse than death, with forced pregnancies and forced milk extraction
