1. It leads to group together the various societies, people, castes etc. of a same nation.

2. Nationalism not only erodes the idea of discrimination but also does a seed of equality as well as freedom.

NATIONALISM: Nationalism is a psychological feeling towards the nation. The natioanalism took its roots from the early 19th century.

MERITS OF NATIONALISM:

>> Nationalism removed the mutual differences, disparities, castes etc and bind all the people into single thread.

>> Nationalism promoted the unity, integrity and solidarity among the citizens.

>> Nationalism made the people to obey the government.

>> Nationalism resulted the progress of the nation in the short period of time.

>> Nationalism helped in the development of nation in all fields.


But this nationalism later changed into aggressive nationalism which resulted in the development of pride in themselves. Those people started hatring other nations. We already seen this in Germany and Italy.
