Heya!!❤❤

Orientation of vibration of light waves is termed polarisation. When the electric field vectors are restricted to a single plane by filtration, then the light is said to be polarized with respect to the direction of propagation and all waves vibrate in the same plane.

Hope this helps you ___!!❤❤

ANSWER:-

When two dissimilar atoms, having different electronegativities combine together to form a covalent bond, the shared pair of electrons does not lie at equal distance from the nuclei of both the bonded atoms but shift towards the more electronegativitive atom. The electrons could get distorted and shifts towards greater electronegativitive atom. Thus the less electronegativitive atom generates a partial positive charge and the second one generates a partial negative charge. This bond is known as polar covalent bond and the process is known as polarisation.

Hope it helps ☺️
