Hola❤️
Why there is no work done in moving a charge from one point to another in an equipotential surface?
Grt to have a gud answer ☺️

Answer:

Work done is defined by the negative of the change in potential energy, this is directly a consequence of the Work-energy theorem and the law of conservation of energy in presence of only conservative forces as that of the electrostatic force.

Clearly, equipotential itself says that the potential along that entire surface remains constant, which means if the charge is displaced along the surface then the work done is certainly zero since the change in potential is zero, however, even when the charge is displaced out of the surface from one point and then again brough t back to the surface at some other point, still the work done will be zero, as the change in potential is still zero and also that because conservative force is being acted upon the charge, the work done doesn't depend on the path of motion.

In short and simple language , u can say there is equipotential surface so change in potential is zero and work done for a charge can be define as w=q{change in potential} so finally w=0
