The process of election should be carried out in a free and fair manner and should give an opportunity to people from all walks of life to actually choose their representatives i.e. they should be given the freedom of choice
Most non-democracies also hold elections, which do not really express the general will of the citizens...Political leaders use unfair means to win the elections
Such elections are not appropriate and applicable for any form of government.
