Holding into anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die’ are the
words of Buddha. We all lose our calm and get angry, on trivial and not so trivial matters. There
are several reasons that cause anger within us. Our wellbeing may be at stake, our expectations
and the reality may not be in tandem or we may be get angry when we are wronged. Anger
could also be a defence mechanism to create a false personality about ourselves. Whatever the
reasons anger comes with its own perils. Anxiety, high blood pressure, headache and
depression are just a few physical and emotional effects of anger. What we need to concentrate
on is anger management. Regular exercise, learning to relax and staying calm and composed
and most importantly communicating to someone close to us are ways to stay calm. Let us
remember :
“Anger doesn’t solve anything. It builds nothing, but it can destroy everything.”
