                            = 220 * 9.8 * 10⁶ N/m².

Density = 1.1 * 10³ kg/m³

We know,

Speed of longitudinal waves in water is,

v = √β/ρ

 = √(220 * 9.8 * 10⁶)/1.1 * 10³

 = 1.4 * 10³ m/s

Now,

Depth h = vt/2

           = (1.4 * 10³ * 2.64)/2

           = 1848 m

Therefore,

Depth of the sea = 1848 m.

11.

Given,

Speed of sound in air = 332 m/s

Ratio = 4 : 1

Then,

Molecular weight = ( 4 * 28 + 1 * 32 ) / 5  

= 144 / 5

= 28.8

We know that,

V₁/V₂ = √M₂/M₁

=> 332/V₂ = √32/28.8

=> 332/V₂ = √1.11

=> 332/V₂ = 1.0535

=> V₂ = 332/1.0535

=> V₂ = ~315 m/s

Therefore,

Speed of sound in oxygen = 315 m/s.
