As per given ,

Dimensions of a hollow pipe are :

Length h= 63 cm

Inner diameter of cross section =  4 cm

i.e. inner radius r= 2  cm   (radius is half of diameter)

Outer diameter = 4.8 cm

Outer radius R= 2.4 cm.

Formula for the total surface area of the pipe = Curved surface area of inner surface area + Curved surface area of outer surface area + Area of both circular ends

= 2πRh + 2πrh + 2π( R² − r² )

=2 (22/7)(2.4)(63) +2 (22/7 )(2)(63) + 2 (22.7)((2.4)²−(2)²)

= 950.4 + 792 + 11.06

=1753.46 cm²

Hence, the total surface area of the pipe is 1753.46cm²
