Honest is a divine Quality. One should be hones in one‟s
thought, words and deeds because it saves a man from scruples of
mind. Once you tell a lie, you will have to tell scores of other lies to
prove that single lie a truth. Then there is always the fear of being
caught. Nobody trusts a dishonest person. He will not be able to
make progress in life as people would not like to be associated with
him.
A liar always held in contempt it seems ever nature is in
favour of honesty as material thing acquired through dishonest
means seldom bring happiness. An honest man, though he is poor,
leads a contented life, where as a dishonest man though rich, lives in
worries and fears so honesty is undoubtedly the best policy to be
adopted in life.

Precis writing is the activity of compressing the passage and giving all the essential points to understand the gist of the passage.

Honesty is the best policy

  • Honesty is divine as it relieves a person from mental scruples. Once a lie told, is followed by a series of subsequent falsehoods to show veracity of that one lie.
  • Then there's the dread of being discovered. Nobody can put their faith in a liar and he will not be able to advance in life. Nature is always in favour of honesty, as material things obtained by dishonest methods rarely offer satisfaction.
  • An honest person even if he is poor, has a happy life, but a dishonest man, even if he is wealthy, lives in worry and dread, thus honesty is greatest policy to follow in life.
