While honest, law-abiding citizens have nothing to fear from other honest, law-abiding citizens, the same cannot be said for all citizens.

Unfortunately, we live in a society, where personal data can be misused or exploited by dishonest people. Hence, honest, law-abiding citizens have much to fear from the distribution of their data.
