Answer:

There are three types of colony found in the honey bee community. These include Fertile female queen that are diploid, sterile female workers and male bees or drones that are haploid.

The queen gave two types of eggs that are unfertilized and fertilized. The larva that is born from fertilized eggs become a female if they are fed with royal jelly and transform into a fertile queen, and those that do not eat royal jelly become sterile female workers.

Drones develop from unfertilized eggs. As there is not any participation of sperm in the formation of male bees, Hence it is said that they do not have a father. while the queen or the mother bee has a father as it is developed from a fertilized egg. Therefore drone has a grandfather and can have a grandson but do not have a father.
