Given:-

  • Horizontal Force = 980N

  • Mass of Body = 500kg

  • Acceleration due to gravity = +9.8m/s²

To Find :-

  • The Coefficient of friction.

Formulae used:-

  • F = umg

Where,

  • u = Coefficient friction
  • m = Mass
  • g = Acceleration due to gravity.

Now,

→ F = umg

→ F = u × 500 × 9.8

→ F = u × 4900

→ 980 = u × 4900

→ u = 980/4900

→ u = 0.2

Hence, The Coefficient of friction is 0.2

To Find :-

 \\

• The Coefficient of friction

 \\

Solution :-

 \\

We have,

 \\

• Horizontal Force = 980N

• Mass of Body = 500kg

• Acceleration due to gravity = +9.8m/s²

 \\

\underline{\:\textsf{We know that :}}

 \\

\star\;{\boxed{\sf{\purple{F_{\;(Horizontal \: Force )} = umg}}}}\\ \\

 \\

\sf Where,

•u = Coefficient friction

•m = Mass

•g = Acceleration due to gravity.

 \\

Substituting the given values :-

 \\

\dashrightarrow \sf F=u × 500 × 9.8\\ \\

\dashrightarrow \sf 980=u × 500 × 9.8\\ \\

\dashrightarrow {\boxed{\frak{\purple{u = 0.2 }}}}\;\\ \\

 \\

Hence

_______

The Coefficient of friction is 0.2
