● The thyroid gland synthesized store and discharge the Hormone which are thyroxine ( T4 ) Also called tetraidothyronin , trriodothyronine and thyrocalcitonin


● T3 & T4 are idonated derivatives of amino acids tyrosine .



● Both are stored in follicular cavity before secretion and supposed to have same function.


● The secretion of T3 and T4 are regulated by by thyroid harmone TSH .

☆Tri-iodothyronine (T3) :

Main tissues acted on by hormone:

It acts on most of the tissues.

Main function of hormone:

Acts to regulate the body's metabolic rate.

The both (T4) and (T3) functions are same they both acts on the tissue to regulate the body's metabolic rate.
