HORROR STORY REAL -----One day I went to visit one of the seniors (Let's address him as brother X) . But, when I reached his home, I found out he was admitted to the hospital due to several illness such as high fever, vomiting, diareah etc. I went to hospital and visited him.

Then he told me something, which till date, gives me goosebumps . He told me what he had encountered the previous night. Here goes ..

It was already past mid-night. Brother X was a Soft Engg working in neighbouring city called Bhubaneswar. His home is in Cuttack, which is 18 km approx from his office if you take the shortest route. It takes 20–25 mins to cover (no traffic square or anything on tht route as it goes through many small villages) .

After his shift is done , instead of staying in Bhbaneswar, he decided to have traffic-free and relaxing ,mid-night bike ride to his home. And obviously he chose the shortest route .

There are 2–3 kms of open cultivation(rice paddy) lands both the side of the road on that route. You will encounter these open fields after covering approx 8–10 kms.

So, there was Brother X , riding his Hero Honda Glamour bike , past mid-night, nearing to the open fields … he was watching those moon-lit open fields on the left and enjoying the view…cold winds singing in his ears…

Then he turn his head to the right side of the road. His eyes went wide open and his heart started beating fast.

He saw a Old lady like figure , wearing white , was running beside him, matching his bike's speed, which would be around 70–75 km/hr at that time .

He immidiately realized that this one was no human and something supernatural . He then accelerated his bike to save his life ..but still the old lady running as fast, matching his bike speed . He never saw its face, as there long hairs were scattering with wind while it ran . While going with speed nearing 100 km/hr , he cried and pleaded to God to save his life and don't make him stop. As if his bike stoped that time then he would certainly be killed .

Somehow , luckily, he saw few more vehicle are visible and coming from the front and he reached the main highway and the running figure was no where to be seen.

He reached home safely but next day he was hospitalized and remained admitted for months as his mental and physical health was not stable since that day.

Currently he is doing fine and have his own family and living a happy life.

Even if that route is developed and more people are residing there now, still I never venture past late night on that route .
