China had adopted one child policy to decrease the population. But it had realised that the policy has many drawbacks. As the Government allowed to have only one child, the citizens want to have a male child as he can earn money and name for their family. So, women are forced to abort girl child. This results in gender imbalance which will cause problems for a man to find a wife in future. As there is only one child, parents show more care and attention which results in problems like overweight in children. As there is only one child of a family, he has to look after his four grandparents and two parents along with wife and child. There are more responsibilities for the offspring. This increased rate of suicidal rate. Not only that majority of China's population are elderly people which left less labour for industries. That's why, one child policy had left scars on Chinese society.

ne child policy is another example of China's perfect planning, this policy was started to control the population and it was also known as population planning policy. It started in 1979 and since then people are being penalized for having a second child, there is an exception for few people, and those are the people whose first child is not a boy and girls they can have another baby in order to have a boy. China claims it has prevented 400 million births till now and that has improved the conditions of the country, means there was enough food for the people and enough clean water for everyone.
But this policy has its own drawback as well because the people who cannot have a son as a first child they want to have a son because they want someone to look after them in old age, in order to earn money they want a son. People who have girls as a first child because of this policy are left alone and no one is there to look after them.
