horse is tied to a stack by a rope. if the horse moves along a circular path of length 15m always keeping the Rope tied and describes when it has tracked out 65 degree at the centre, find the length of rope.​

ANSWER

Let the post be at point P and let PA be the length of the rope in tight position. Suppose the horse moves along the arc AB so that = <APB = 72 degree  and arc  AB = 88m

Let r be the length of the slope i.e PA=r meters

now , θ = 72° = ( 72 * \frac{\pi }{180} ) = \frac{2\pi }{4}

and S = 88

∴ θ = \frac{arc}{radius}\frac{2\pi }{4} = \frac{88}{r}

⇒ r = \frac{88* 5}{2\pi }

   r = 70
