Answers
Answer:
As the summer temperatures continue to climb, you may find yourself spending more and more time indoors enjoying the comforts of central air conditioning. But without the benefit of modern technology, animals that make their home in the heat have had to come up with their own ways of staying cool and hydrated. We caught up with San Diego Zoo Ambassador and Zookeeper Rick Schwartz between television appearances in New York City to talk about the incredible ways that some creatures have adapted to survive in the desert.
Explanation:
a) Snakes adapt to the desert by using light brown or grey camouflage to blend in with their surroundings. They've adapted to the temperature by learning to burrow in dens to shelter from hot temperatures. They also brumate (hibernate) during the harsh and cold winter months.
b) If the tigers go extinct, the entire system would collapse.
Therefore, it's not just about saving a beautiful animal. It is about making sure that we live a little longer as the forests are known to provide ecological services like clean air, water, pollination, temperature regulation etc.
c) In general, skin does not wrinkle due to being in water. ... The wrinkling is caused by specific nerves, and does not occur when those nerves are damaged.
