  • Multiplying 1 N by 1 m gives 1 Nm of work or 1 joule of energy.
  • Its equivalent symbols is 1 kg * 1 m/s^2 * 1 m. The product of these 3 quantities namely the mass of the body, the acceleration of the body and the distance the body is moved is 1 kg * m^2/s^2.
  • The quantity equivalent to 1 joule is 1 newton * 1 meter.
