devankoberoi2003: See anything which has hydrogen ie. H in it is an acid. Eg- HCl
devankoberoi2003: eg- H2SO4, HNO3
devankoberoi2003: Anything which has OH ie. hydroxide in it is called a base.
devankoberoi2003: Eg- NaOH,KOH, Ca(OH)2.
devankoberoi2003: Anything which is formed by reaction of 2 equally strong acid and base or 2 equally weak acid and base is neutral or salt.
devankoberoi2003: Acid+Base gives you Salt+H20
devankoberoi2003: HCL+NaOH----> NaCl+H20

if the red litmus change its colour in solutions it is acid
if doesn't it's base
if both blue and red litmus not change their colour in solutions it must be neutral
