when you divide 9542÷6 that is 1590.3333...... and you will get this value. And this is an irrational number with recurring decimal

please add me on the Brainlist

kunal63: my question is how to divide it .. please divide it
jeynivasjeya: Bro, just divide it by long division.
kunal63: answer is getting 159.333
jeynivasjeya: Well, you just need to add an extra zero at the end. This is because you took two numbers together and divided them.
jeynivasjeya: BTW, which standard are you in?
kunal63: after putting a point then two digit is coming down... so, 0 must be after point???
jeynivasjeya: No, before the point. Wait, I answered your question, check it and see if it helps. Also, here is a link. This will help you understand: https://everydaycalculation.com/long-division-calculator.php
jeynivasjeya: See, two digits are down before you keep the point. Don't keep the point to bring down another digit. You must only keep the point if the number you are dividing is over and you need more values. In that case, one can keep a point and add a zero the the dividend, and continue the problem.
jeynivasjeya: Hope you understand :)

Divide each digit of the dividend with the divisor starting from left to right. Bring down the next digit after each step as shown below:

1.

169542.−63

Divide 9 by 6. Write the remainder after subtracting the bottom number from the top number.

2.

1569542.−635−305

Bring down next digit 5. Divide 35 by 6. Write the remainder after subtracting the bottom number from the top number.

3.

Bring down next digit 4. Divide 54 by 6. Write the remainder after subtracting the bottom number from the top number.

4.

Bring down next digit 2. Divide 2 by 6. Write the remainder after subtracting the bottom number from the top number.

5. Put the decimal point after the 0.

Remember: A decimal number, say, 3 can be written as 3.0, 3.00 and so on. Bring down next digit 0. Divide 20 by 6. Write the remainder after subtracting the bottom number from the top number.

Remember: A decimal number, say, 3 can be written as 3.0, 3.00 and so on. Bring down next digit 0. Divide 20 by 6. Write the remainder after subtracting the bottom number from the top number.

1590.33369542.000−635−3054−5402−020−1820−1820−182−

Remember: A decimal number, say, 3 can be written as 3.0, 3.00 and so on. Bring down next digit 0. Divide 20 by 6. Write the remainder after subtracting the bottom number from the top number.

End of long division (upto 3 decimal places).

9542 ÷ 6 = 1590.333
